Bio-Clean is the only drain product I recommend. It is safe, non-toxic, and will not harm pipes, fixtures, or you. It works by actually breaking down the organic junk in your pipes, and as long as they have food, the bacteria which Bio-Clean is made of will do their job. This does not work overnight. They are bacteria that are invisible to the naked eye and it takes time for them to proliferate and consume the debris in your drain system. Once they have achieved success, they continue to thrive inside the drain making sure the gunk doesn’t build back up. Because of this you do need to put a tablespoon into each drain about once a month to make sure you keep a healthy colony in the system.
It isn’t an overnight cure, but it will prevent common issues that are not related to an underlying plumbing problem.
